Cancellation & Deposit Policy
Session Deposits
To reserve a mastering session, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
This deposit secures your session time and confirms your place on the studio calendar.
Deposits are applied toward the total cost of your session.
Because each session is prepared in advance — including file review, session setup, and calendar allocation — deposits are non-refundable. However, they may be transferred to a rescheduled session if proper notice is given (see below).
Rescheduling
We understand that schedules shift. Clients may reschedule their session with at least 12 hours’ notice without penalty.
In these cases, the original deposit will be applied to the new session date.
Grace Period (One-Time Courtesy)
Smith Hill Mastering offers a one-time grace period for a missed appointment or late cancellation.
This grace period allows flexibility for unforeseen circumstances without an immediate fee.
After the grace period has been used, standard cancellation policies will apply.
Late Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Cancellations made with less than 12 hours’ notice, or missed appointments after the grace period, will incur a flat cancellation fee of $69.99.
This fee covers reserved studio time that cannot be rebooked on short notice and ensures fairness to all clients awaiting availability.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled via:
Email
Text
Direct message (if used for booking)
We encourage early communication whenever possible to avoid fees and preserve your preferred session time.
We appreciate your professionalism and respect for the mastering process and studio schedule.
